I made an iOS app!. It is called PooPal, an app to help you track your poo 💩. Why did you build an app? In 2025, I decided I wanted to learn more about app development. Midway through the year I was switching jobs from E.ON Next to Monzo and had a couple of weeks on my hands, so naturally I started learning SwiftUI with HackingWithSwift. After about ~50 days (out of 100) of that course, I decided there’s only so much tutorialling you can do before I think it is best to jump out into the big scary world and make something for yourself....
In June 2025 I started learning Swift UI. I’ve been following HackingWithSwift and his 100 days of SwiftUI. 8th August 2025 Today I just finished Day 42 which constituted Project #8. It was an app that presents a grid view of the Apollo Space Missions and then you are able to click through and see the details of the missions and the astronauts. I am super proud of it. I know it’s literally me just following along a tutorial’s code, but I am just proud that I understand it all....
After a few months of learning web development (ReactJS as frontend, NodeExpress and also Firebase as backend options) I decided to make a bigger project to provide a website where user’s can sign-up and track their parkrun statistics and have cool visualisations. Here is my showcase below:
The first in a series of tutorials about testing in Python
Introduction to Code Formatting
Does switching jobs pay more? My experience.
Intermediate Debugging with VS Code and Python

Here is a list of all the unique parkrun events I have completed. It took me some time to semi-automate this, but I’m pleased with the result 😄. Look forward to adding more as the weeks go by! #1 Gedling #2 Wollaton Hall #3 Rushcliffe #4 Exmouth #5 Colwick #6 Finsbury Park #7 Beeston #8 Poole #9 Belvoir Castle #10 Bestwood #11 Melton Mowbray #12 Hampstead Heath #13 Alvaston #14 Clifton #15 Beacon Hill #16 Forest Rec #17 Sherwood Pines #18 Pavilion Gardens #19 Upton House #20 Shipley #21 Leazes #22 Cannon Hill #23 Abbey Park #24 Dishley #25 Long Eaton #26 Brierley Forest #27 Newark #28 Lincoln #29 Belton House #30 Markeaton #31 Bournemouth #32 Exeter Riverside #33 Watermead Country Park #34 Conkers #35 Moors Valley #36 Leicester Victoria #37 Stevenage #38 Oaklands #39 Didcot #40 Yarborough #41 Carlisle Park Morpeth #42 Fell Foot #43 Warwick Racecourse #44 Bushy Park #45 Millenium Park Canmore #46 Central Burnaby Vancouver #47 Mansfield #48 Prospect Park #49 Doddington Hall #50 Rutland #51 Abingdon #52 Clumber Park
Continuing my fun mapping my UK parkrun data, here is all the UK Counties mapped, with some stats on my completion rates. Parkrun UK County Completion The first plot maps out every county in the UK, and colours it according to my completion percentage (percentage of events in that county I’ve run). Parkrun UK County Completion with Events The second plot is an extension of the first, by adding in markers for every UK parkrun event....
